Clarence A. Andrews went to The University of Iowa where he enrolled in the Writer's Workshop. He received B.A., M.A. and Ph.D degrees at Iowa, where he later taught in the English department and the School of Journalism. Andrews also published Writing and Technical and Scientific Writing. He passed away January 1, 2002 in Warrenton, Oregon at the age of 89.
