Robert Coles is professor of psychiatry and medical humanities at Harvard University and the author of, among others, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Children of Crisis, The Moral Life of Children, The Political Life of Children, and biographical studies of Erik H. Erikson, William Carlos Williams, Walker Percy, Flannery O'Connor, Simone Weil, and Dorothy Day.
