Native Iowan Tom Savage was born in Mt. Pleasant in 1945. He received his BS in psychology and his MA in college student personnel from the University of Iowa. He was a counselor for Muscatine Community College from 1978 until retirement in 2004; currently he is co-owner of Muscatine Books and More in Muscatine, Iowa.
